Overview

The Metamarkets Real-Time Data Ingestion (RDI) platform processes data at speeds that allow the Metamarkets dashboard to surface that data in several seconds. The key to providing this near-instantaneous access is to start with well-formatted, standards-based data. The more closely the data adheres to recognized standards, the more quickly it can be processed and made available for querying and analysis.

By following prescribed standards and recommendations, you can ensure that your data will be ingested quickly and processed without error. You'll also ensure that the information based on that data will meet expectations when viewed in the Metamarkets dashboard.

How to Use the Documentation

This document includes one of the following formatting guides to match the type of data you will upload:

  • Formatting Exchange/SSP Auction Data – Use this OpenRTB-based schema for RTB auction results.
  • Formatting DSP Data – Use this OpenRTB-based schema for demand-side reporting.
  • Formatting Ad Server Data – Use this OpenRTB-based schema for ad-request data from ad servers.
  • Formatting Non-Standard Data – Guidelines for time-series data that does not conform to a published standard.

Use this documentation as a guide to format your data. If you intend to use lookup tables, see Lookup Tables. Lookup-table data is used to map ID values found in raw data to string values, allowing raw data to be more compact. Because the OpenRTB API Spec v2.2 is supported, OpenRTB-compliant values may also be provided (e.g., integer values "1" through "7" for Ad Position).

When your data is formatted correctly, use the uploading guide to prepare and then upload the formatted data.
